Andres Correa Jr., age 73, of Miami, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 8th, 2024. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Luz Maria Baez and Andres Correa Sr., Andres was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Mimi; his children, Nyah and Sito; his brother, Luis; his sister, Luz; his step-father Luis; and a vast network of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucy; his father, Andres Sr.; his brothers, Radamus and Jason; and his eldest son, Dre.
A Vietnam War veteran, Andres dedicated his life to public service, working as a correctional and police officer, a border patrol agent, immigration inspector, and a criminal investigator. He retired as a senior special agent criminal investigator, after which he made Miami, Florida, his home.
Andres was known for his big heart, boundless generosity, sense of humor, and deep faith and love for God. He was passionate about family, motorcycles, photography, running marathons, and bicycling. He lived each day with purpose, touching the lives of everyone around him with kindness and laughter.
He will be remembered for his incredible spirit and the love he so freely gave. A memorial service will be held on December 19th, 2024 at South Florida National Cemetery from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly prefers monetary donations, which may be made to his wife, Mimi Blanchard-Correa.
