Patricia Ann Denson, aged 48, died peacefully on August 26, 2020 surrounded by family. She was born to Berry Denson, Sr. and Myrtice Wilcox on April 24, 1972, in Miami, FL.
Patricia is survived by her two daughters, Anita Christy Denson and Angel Selena Denson, her mother Myrtice, her siblings; Berry Denson, Margaret Denson and Carolyn Albritton, her spouse of nine years, Jose Valera and a host of nieces and nephews.
Patricia graduated from Miami Northwestern Senior High Community School on August 16, 1991 before graduating from Miami-Dade College. Patricia served as a Correction Officer for over 20 years. At the end of her illustrious career, Patricia attained a promotion as a Corporal Officer.
Ever since she was a child, Patricia thoroughly enjoyed athletics and the outdoors. She enjoyed skating, bicycling, dancing and listening to Reggae music. She loved driving her truck around Miami, reading Stephen King novels and sitting by the water at Morningside Park reciting her favorite Psalms from the Bible. She enjoyed the company of her daughters more than anything.
She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, acquaintances, and all who knew her. Patricia was hardworking, sensitive and compassionate. She was truly a one of a kind.
