Obituary

There are no words to describe the profound sadness and devastation caused by Demetrius' recent and unexpected passing. He was larger than life in every way! His smile lit up every room he entered; he moved with a magnetic energy, and his charisma was unmatched. He was a wonderful father to his daughter Vanessa and his namesake little boy Demetrius and his dog Tototo. He was a caring husband to his wife Allison and he was a nephew to his favorite Uncle Johnny, as well as an uncle, cousin, friend, and Godfather to so many. Saying that he will be greatly missed is an understatement. There really was no one like him.

He was born in Philadelphia and lived in the city and in the suburbs. He started his career in the flooring business and excelled as a designer and salesman. He also owned some rental properties and eventually purchased a couple bars, restaurants, and a nightclub in the city. He loved creating nightlife experiences and unique cocktails, but most of all he loved to see people come together and have a good time.

Then Demetrius and his wife relocated to sunny Miami, Florida where he led tours to different South Beach bars and clubs. He enjoyed showing tourists where to go in the Magic City that he loved so much. He went on to open his dream business: a car dealership and eventually went back into interior design and sales where he set company records with his Midas touch. He recently joined a prestigious networking group and was so proud to be a part of it.

He was happy, positive, carefree, and funny. He took time to mentor others in business and sales and he had a kind and generous heart. He was genuinely happy for other people's success. He could make you smile and laugh even on your toughest day. He was also a great cook and made the best drinks.

He loved going out on the boat with his family, playing superheroes with his son, taking his daughter to the movies, playing Jeopardy with his wife, and hanging out with his friends.

Demetrius and his wife purchased a beautiful family home on a lake and he enjoyed renovating it with his eye for design. He would grill and entertain family and friends around the pool. He also loved trying out new restaurants, playing basketball, riding his electric bike by the beach, and he was quite a pool shark. Demetrius was a true car aficionado and especially loved fast sports cars.
Demetrius really lived life to the fullest! Although everyone who knew him is devastated, I know he would want to be remembered joyously.
