Eric Anthony Brown was born on March 27, 1958, to Louis and Gloria Brown in Kingston, Jamaica. He spent his forma-tive years in Bog Walk, St. Catherine, where he received his early education at Tulloch Primary and later attended Dint-hill Technical High School. He then pursued tertiary studies at the College of Arts, Science and Technology (now the University of Technology), Jamaica.
On April 9, 1988, Eric was joined in holy matrimony to Angela Anderson. Their loving union endured for over 37 years and was marked by deep affection, mutual support, and unwavering companionship.
By the close of the 1980s, Eric and his beautiful wife migrated to the United States and made Miami, Florida their home. He furthered his education at Barry University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. This academic achievement led to full-time employment at a prominent international company. While working there, he continued to advance professionally by earning a Master's degree in Accounting. After 17 years with that company, he joined anoth-er major corporation, where he worked for eight years until his passing.
Eric was known for his kind and caring nature, especially toward his beloved wife Angela, his mother Gloria, his sister Yvonne, and other close relatives. He extended that warmth to everyone he met, always ready to offer a kind word or a light-hearted comment to bring a smile to someone's face.
A health-conscious individual. Eric maintained an active lifestyle, exercising several times a week and including at least one workout at the gym. However, his greatest passion was music. He was rarely without it—whether driving to and from work or relaxing on the weekends. He also enjoyed attending reggae concerts, where he saw many of his favorite performers live over the years.
Eric was also an avid sports enthusiast with a deep passion for a wide range of athletic pursuits. He followed basketball with great interest and was a devoted fan of motorsports, especially Formula 1 and IndyCar racing. He enjoyed the thrill of horse racing and never missed the excitement of major track and field events. Whether watching a championship game or a Grand Prix, Eric found joy in the discipline, strategy, and spirit of competition that defined each sport.
True to the meaning of his name, Eric Anthony embodied strength, honor, and unwavering integrity throughout his life. He faced challenges with quiet resilience and carried himself with dignity and grace. His actions reflected a man of deep principle—steadfast in his commitments, compassionate in his relationships, and generous in spirit. Highly praisewor-thy in both word and deed, Eric has left a lasting impact on those who knew him. To his family and friends, he was truly a priceless presence—irreplaceable, deeply loved, and forever cherished.
Eric is survived by his wife, Angela Anderson-Brown; his mother, Gloria Brown; and sister, Yvonne.
