In Loving Memory of Gerard Vernon Ector
September 30, 1951 – September 12, 2026
With deep love and sadness, we remember Gerard Vernon Ector, a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, stepfather, uncle, cousin, friend, neighbor, and cherished member of the communities he called home.
From Trinidad to New York and Florida, Gerard was known for his gentle spirit, kindness, compassion, humor, and willingness to help others. He was a true "Jack of all Trades" — a cook, baker, ice-cream maker, mechanic, handyman, and gifted musician.
Music was one of Gerard's greatest joys. He played keyboards and steel pan, composed, performed, and shared his love of music with family and friends. He also loved to laugh, tell jokes, enjoy good company, and bring happiness to those around him.
Gerard will be remembered not only for the many things he could do, but for the kind of man he was: peaceful, dependable, generous, funny, compassionate, and deeply caring.
His memory will live on through the music he made, the laughter he shared, the people he helped, and the many lives he touched.
