Joseph P. Wasek, Jr. (57) of Davie, Florida passed away Thursday, October 17th at 2:02 PM.

Mr. Wasek was born May 2, 1956 in Miami, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Margaret T. Gillice and his father Joseph P. Wasek, Sr.

He is survived by his:
Wife, Christine M Wasek of 30 years.
Daughter Heather M. Kurstin (husband, Scott), Son Richard W. Michie (wife, Andrea), Daughter Cari M. Michie, Son, John F. Michie (wife, Diana) and Daughter, Megan B. Tucker (husband, Dan)
Joe had 11 grandchildren:
Franchesca, Christine, Nicholas, Samantha, Joseph, Kayli, Adrianna, Isabella, Addison, Mason, and Emilia
Joe had one great grand daughter, Allison.

PERSONAL BACKGROUND
Joe grew up a native of South Florida enjoying the beautiful ocean and sunshine, which naturally led him to love surfing as an young man, and fishing later in life.
His love of the outdoors was also expressed throughout his life, like riding his horses through the trails, taking his children and dogs to the lake in his pick-up truck, and owing a gorgeous piece of rural property in Florida's "cow-country".
Joe lived with a strong will and free spirit, being a true example of someone who "did it my way".
His fierce loyalty ran deep throughout his being. He expressed this every day as a faithful husband of 30 years, sticking with the Miami Dolphins through good and bad seasons, and drinking the same brand of beer his whole life.
Joe left a lasting impression on his family and friends. He will be missed dearly and remembered daily.
