In loving memory of Marie Durham, of Dania Beach, Florida. Originally from Texas, Marie was born Ione Morgan, daughter of Charles and Dasey Lee Morgan, the youngest of four children. Marie passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 22, 2025, at the age of 90. Maire is survived by her son, Judge Ted Booras, and her grandson, Deputy Sheriff Dalton Booras. Marie was a hard-working single mother who never accepted any government subsidies, alimony, or child support, but rather did everything on her own terms. She earned several accounting degrees from Broward Community College and Florida International University. Marie loved animals and often would take in strays, caring for and providing them with a good life. Marie had strong moral values and a love for this country. Upon his enlistment in the Marine Corps, Marie told her son to come home a Marine or don't come home at all. Something you might hear a Spartin mother say. Marie was an awesome mother, grandmother, sibling, friend, and American.
