It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nicholas Calanni, who left us peacefully at the age of 69. Nick graduated North Valley Regional high school class of 1973.
Nicholas, a dedicated master electrician, was known for his unwavering work ethic, integrity, and commitment to excellence.
Born in the Bronx, NY where he grew up until his family moved to Bergen County, NJ where he completed his childhood education. In his adult years he moved to the Jersey shore and ultimately retired in southwest Florida. Nicholas developed a passion for electrical work at a young age, eventually turning his passion into a successful career and starting Excalibur Electric. His expertise and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of all his customers and those around him.
Nicholas was more than just his work. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend.
In his free time, Nicholas enjoyed fishing and visiting Atlantic City. He could often be found tinkering with small projects in the garage or beating the sunrise to cast his fishing line.
His love for life and adventure was evident in all that he did, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
Predeceased by his father Nicholas. He is survived by his mother Janet. Survived by his son's Nicholas and his wife Jennifer, his son Philip and his wife Maria, grandchildren Lisette, Emily, Novella, Frankie, and Alessia.
He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses, Neal (Gwen) Carol. (John) Rick (Lisa) and many nieces and nephews.
He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of Nicholas's life will be held on Monday July 22nd at 10am at St. Dominic's Church 250 Old Squan Road, Brick, NJ 08724.
