Paul Eugene Burkhead passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, just days before his 78th birthday. He was born on October 12, 1947, to Charles Burkhead and Ann Lohman Burkhead Larson.

Paul is survived by his sister, Kathy Burkhead Swertzel, and will be reunited in peace with his siblings Charlie Burkhead Jr., Dan Burkhead, and sister Becky Snyder. He is survived by his two children, Amy Jarrell and her husband, Joe Jarrell, and his daughter, April Burkhead.

He is also lovingly remembered by his four grandchildren: Julie Jenkins, Vincent Baumgarten, MaryAnn Baumgarten, and Timara Knight, as well as his great-grandchildren: Whitney Jenkins, Jasmine Siddle, and Michael Siddle.

Paul Eugene Burkhead was an honorable member of the United States Military. He will be laid to rest with full military honors at the National Cemetery in Grafton, West Virginia. Due to the current government shutdown, the date of the service will be announced once confirmed
