Ted Potoniec, 80, of Miami Springs, Florida passed away after his long battle with cancer. Ted was a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired civilian for the U.S. Coast Guard.

He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth Potoniec. He is survived by his loving brother Joe Potoniec (Elaine), his loving sister Shirley Ivers, nee Potoniec (the late Bill), Aunt Irene Santo nee Potoniec (Nick) and fond uncle of many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins and friends.

Ted formed bountiful friendships in Miami Springs that created a family for him after moving away from his own in Chicago. He was deeply loved by many.

In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude or Catholic Charities are appreciated.
